Notwithstanding subtitle E of title II of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 ( 7 U.S.C. 1639 et seq. ) or any other provision of law, for purposes of applying the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act ( 21 U.S.C. 301 et seq. ), the acceptable market name of any fish product that is laboratory-grown shall include the word Cultivated prior to the existing acceptable market name. For purposes of this section, a fish product shall be considered to be cultivated if the fish product is derived from the harvested cells of fish and grown in a laboratory setting.
