Section 739(a)(2) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 293c(a)(2) ) is amended— in subparagraph (H), by striking and after the semicolon; in subparagraph (I), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: providing academic and financial aid counseling to support participation in a dual or concurrent enrollment program (as defined in section 8101 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965) that leads to an industry-recognized credential, a certificate, or an associate degree in the health professions or academic credits that can be transferred, as indicated through an articulation agreement between 2 or more community colleges or universities, to obtain an industry-recognized credential, a certificate, or a degree in the health professions. .
