Section 8062 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (e)— in paragraph (2), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (3), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: the Navy adjusts scheduled maintenance and repair actions to maintain a minimum of 24 amphibious warfare ships operationally available for worldwide deployment. ; and by redesignating the second subsection
(g)(defining amphibious warfare ship) as subsection (h).
