Sec. 922. Transition of oversight responsibility for the Defense Technology Security Administration

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall develop a transition plan to realign the Defense Technology Security Administration under the authority, direction, and control of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy. Not later than 7 days after the date on which the Secretary completes development of the plan required by subsection (a), the Secretary shall submit the plan to the congressional defense committees.
Not later than 180 days after the date on which the Secretary completes development of the plan required by subsection (a), the Secretary shall realign the Defense Technology Security Administration under the authority, direction, and control of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy.
