In this title: The term appropriate committees of Congress means— the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Armed Services of the Senate; and the Committees on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives. The term congressional defense committees has the meaning given such term in section 101(a) of title 10, United States Code. The term national security council means, with respect to a specified country, an intergovernmental body under the jurisdiction of the freely elected government of the specified country that acts as the primary coordinating entity for security cooperation, disaster response, and the activities described section 6103(f).
The term specified country means— the Federated States of Micronesia; the Republic of the Marshall Islands; and the Republic of Palau.
