The Secretary shall carry out a disposition study under section 216 of the Flood Control Act of 1970 ( 33 U.S.C. 549a ) for the deauthorization and potential removal of the Cherryfield Local Protection Project, Narraguagus River, Maine, constructed pursuant to section 205 of the Flood Control Act of 1948 ( 33 U.S.C. 701s ). Not later than 18 months after the date of enactment of this section, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate a report on the status of the disposition study required under subsection (a).
