Section 1177 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2016 ( 33 U.S.C. 467f–2 note) is amended— in subsection (e)— by striking The Secretary and inserting the following: Except as provided in paragraph (2), the Secretary ; and by adding at the end the following: For a project under this section for which the Federal share of the costs is expected to exceed $60,000,000, the Secretary may expend more than such amount only if— the Secretary submits to Congress the determination made under subsection
(a)with respect to the project; and construction of the project substantially in accordance with the plans, and subject to the conditions, described in such determination is specifically authorized by Congress. ; and in subsection (f), by striking 2017 through 2026 and inserting 2025 through 2030 .
