Not later than 120 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of National Intelligence, acting through the National Intelligence Council, shall, in coordination with the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Intelligence and Analysis and the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, submit to the congressional intelligence committees a report on the economic outlook of the People’s Republic of China, which shall include alternative analyses of the economic projections of the People’s Republic of China. The report required under subsection
(a)shall include the following: Assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of the economy of the People’s Republic of China, including the potential effects of debt, demographics, and China’s international relationships. Potential challenges for the People’s Republic of China to sustain economic growth and the potential for global effects as a result. The implications of the economic future of the People’s Republic of China on the country’s foreign and defense policy.
