Section 6402 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 ( 7 U.S.C. 1632b ) is amended— in subsection (d)— in paragraph (2)— by striking Each Agriculture Innovation Center and inserting Subject to paragraph (3), each Agriculture Innovation Center ; and by striking following:: and inserting following: ; and by adding at the end the following: The Secretary may waive the requirement described in paragraph
(2)with respect to an eligible entity if the Secretary determines that the eligible entity has a board of directors adequate for the purpose of carrying out this section. ; and in subsection (g), by striking 2023 and inserting 2029 .
