Section 501 of the Agricultural Credit Act of 1987 ( 7 U.S.C. 5101 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: In this title, the term State has the meaning given the term in section 1404 of the Food and Agriculture Act of 1977, and includes any Indian tribe (as defined in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act). . Section 502 of the Agricultural Credit Act of 1987 ( 7 U.S.C. 5102 ) is amended— in subsection (b)(2), by striking $500,000 and inserting $700,000 ; and by adding at the end the following: The Secretary shall permit a State that receives financial assistance under subsection
(a)for a fiscal year to carry over not more than 25 percent of the financial assistance that is not expended by the end of the fiscal year, for use during the next fiscal year without deducting the amount from any assistance provided under this Act in subsequent fiscal years. . Section 506 of such Act ( 7 U.S.C. 5106 ) is amended by striking 2023 and inserting 2029 .
