Section 202 of the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983 ( 7 U.S.C. 7502 ) is amended by inserting after subsection
(a)the following: In this subsection: The term eligible State has the meaning given the term in section 4206(b) of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 ( 7 U.S.C. 7518(b) ). The term entitlement funds , with respect to an eligible State, means the dollar amount used by the Secretary to purchase commodities pursuant to section 27 of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2036 ) to distribute to the eligible State in accordance with section 214. The Secretary shall allow an eligible State to elect to receive all of the entitlement funds of the eligible State as cash to make direct purchases of commodities through the private commercial marketplace. . Section 203D(d)(5) of the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983 ( 7 U.S.C. 7507(d)(5) ) is amended— by striking subsection and inserting the following: subsection— ; by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at end the following: $6,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029, to remain available until the end of the subsequent fiscal year. . Section 204(a)(1) of the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983 ( 7 U.S.C. 7508(a)(1) ) is amended by striking year 2008 and inserting years 2008 through 2024, and $200,000,000 for fiscal year 2025 . Section 209(d) of the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983 ( 7 U.S.C. 7511a(d) ) is amended by striking 2023 and inserting 2029 . Section 27(a) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2036(a) ) is amended— in paragraph
(1)by striking 2023 and inserting 2029 ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph
(C)by striking 2023 and inserting 2025 ; and in subparagraph (D)— by striking 2023 the 1st place it appears and inserting 2025 ; in clause
(ix)by striking fiscal year 2023 and inserting each of the fiscal years 2023 and 2024 ; and by adding at end the following: for fiscal year 2025, $40,000,000; and , and in subparagraph (E)— by striking 2024 and inserting 2026 ; and by striking (D)(ix) and inserting (D)(x) .
