Section 6(d)(4) of the Food and Nutrition act ( 7 U.S.C. 2015 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: In the case of any individual who is a member of a household that received supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits and who is exempt from requirements by the State agency specified in (d)(1)(A)(ii) of this section, the State may use personnel exempt from Merit System requirements specified in section 11(e)(6)(B) to screen the recipient for appropriateness for participation in the service program, notwithstanding any determination otherwise by the State agency of eligibility of such individual for such services. .
