Paragraph
(8)of section 1834(m) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395m(m) ) is amended— in the paragraph heading, be striking ; during emergency period in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking During the emergency period described in section 1135(g)(1)(B) and, in the case that such emergency period ends before December 31, 2024, during the period beginning on the first day after the end of such emergency period and ending on December 31, 2024 and inserting Beginning on the first day of the emergency period described in section 1135(g)(1)(B) ; in subparagraph (A)(ii), by striking determined under subparagraph
(B)and inserting determined, for services furnished during the emergency period described in section 1135(g)(1)(B), under subparagraph
(B)and, for services furnished after such period, as an amount equal to the amount that such center or clinic would have been paid under this title had such service been furnished without the use of a telecommunications system ; and in subparagraph (B)— by striking and all that follows through payment rule The Secretary shall and inserting ; and payment rule.— The Secretary shall by redesignating clause
(ii)as subparagraph
(C)and moving such subparagraph as so redesignated 2 ems to the left.
