Sec. 1739. Under Secretary of Defense for Policy study and report on expansion of National Guard State Partnership Program

The Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, shall conduct a study to assess the feasibility and benefits of expanding the National Guard State Partnership Program to additional countries in the First Island Chain and the Second Island Chain, including— Brunei Darussalam; the Federated States of Micronesia; the Republic of Kiribati; the Republic of the Marshall Islands; the Republic of Nauru; and the Republic of Vanuatu.
Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Under Secretary shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the results of the study conducted under subsection (a).
