Section 525 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a)(3)(B) by striking 34 and inserting 35 ; and in subsection (a)(3)(C) by striking 49 and inserting 48 . Section 8077 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: The Surgeon General, while so serving, shall hold the grade of O–9. .
