Sec. 402. Establishment of national goal for renewable energy production on Federal land

Not later than January 1, 2024, the Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture and the head of other relevant Federal agencies, shall establish updated national goals for renewable energy production on Federal land. The Secretary shall seek to issue permits that, in total, authorize production of not less than 60 gigawatts of electricity from wind, solar, and geothermal energy projects by not later than December 31, 2030, through management of Federal land and administration of Federal laws.
