Section 2(a)(36) of the Investment Company Act of 1940 ( 15 U.S.C. 80b–2(a)(36) is amended— by inserting digital asset security, after investment contract, ; and by striking the period at the end and inserting ; but does not include any fiat currency, commodity, digital asset, or any note, draft, bill of exchange, or banker’s acceptance which has a maturity at the time of issuance of not exceeding nine months exclusive of days of grace or any renewal thereof the maturity of which is likewise limited. .
