Section 4022(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by striking senior procurement executive for the agency as designated for the purpose of section 1702(c) of title 41 and inserting head of the contracting activity ; and in subparagraph (B)(i), by striking Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering or the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment and inserting senior procurement executive for the agency as designated for the purpose of section 1702(c) of title 41, or, for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Defense Innovation Unit, or the Missile Defense Agency, the director of the agency, ; and by amending paragraph
(3)to read as follows: The authority of the head of the contracting activity, director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, director of the Defense Innovation Unit, director of the Missile Defense Agency, or the senior procurement executive, as applicable, under paragraph
(2)may not be delegated. .
