Section 6224(a)(1) of the Department of State Authorization Act of 2023 (division F of Public Law 118–31 ; 22 U.S.C. 4081a ) is amended, in the matter preceding subparagraph (A)— by striking the Department is and inserting the Department and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and other United States Government employees under chief of mission authority are ; and by striking Department personnel and inserting Department and USAID personnel, and other United States Government employees under chief of mission authority .
