Section 7377 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in the section heading, by striking and all that follows through the colon and inserting Civilian ; and Certain civilian special agents: in subsection (b)— by inserting

(a)applies ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: In addition to paragraph (1), during the four-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025, subsection
(a)applies to any employee of the Department of the Army who is a special agent of the Army Counterintelligence Command (or a successor to that command) whose duties include conducting, supervising, or coordinating counterintelligence investigations in programs and operations of the Department of the Army. . Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act and not less frequently than annually thereafter through 2028, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees and the Committees on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives and Senate an annual report, and shall provide to such committees an annual briefing, on the administration of section 7377 of title 10, United States Code, as amended by subsection (a).
