Section 1055 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 10 U.S.C. 113 note) is amended— in subsection (b)— in paragraph (1), by striking paragraph
(3)and inserting paragraphs
(3)and
(4); by redesignating paragraphs
(3)through
(5)as paragraphs
(4)through (6), respectively; by inserting after paragraph
(2)the following new paragraph: In the event that the provision of defense sensitive support is routine defense sensitive support, the Secretary shall provide notification under paragraph
(1)on a quarterly basis after providing the support. ; and in paragraph (5), as so redesignated, by striking paragraphs
(1)and
(3)and inserting paragraphs (1), (3), and
(4); and in subsection (c)— in the subsection heading, by striking and inserting Defense sensitive support defined ; Definitions by striking , the term and inserting a colon; and defense sensitive support means support provided by the Department of Defense to a non-Department of Defense Federal department or agency that requires special protection from disclosure. by adding at the end the following new paragraphs: The term defense sensitive support means support provided by the Department of Defense to a non-Department of Defense Federal department or agency that requires special protection from disclosure. The term routine defense sensitive support has the meaning given such term elsewhere in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025. .
