Section 7011(b) of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act ( 42 U.S.C. 247d–10 note) is amended— in paragraph (2), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (3), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: public, private, and academic entities with expertise in detection and testing activities, such as wastewater surveillance, with respect to synthetic opioids, including fentanyl and its analogues. . Section 7011(d) of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act ( 42 U.S.C. 247d–10(d) ) is amended by striking fiscal years 2019 through 2023 and inserting fiscal years 2024 through 2028 .
