None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act may be used by FDA to develop, issue, promote, or advance any new guidelines or regulations applicable to food manufacturers for population-wide sodium reduction actions until the issuance of the 2025-2026 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) survey that will show consumer sodium consumption after the completion of the short-term sodium reduction targets.
