Weekly sodium limits that may be included in any rule-making, notice or guidance of or regarding USDA Proposed Rule (Child Nutrition Programs: Revisions to Meal Patterns Consistent With the 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans; RIN 0584–AE88) shall exclude sodium used for food safety and functional purposes in cheese-making, as determined by the Secretary, in consultation with FDA. Sodium limits will not take effect until the Secretary determines the amounts which shall be excluded.
