Any multimodal airport development project that uses grant funding from funds made available to the Administrator to carry out subchapter I of chapter 471 of title 49, United States Code, or airport infrastructure projects under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( Public Law 117–58 ) shall abide by the procurement regulations applicable to— the FAA; and subject to subsection (b), the component of the project relating to transit, highway, or rail, respectively. In the case of a multimodal airport development project described in subsection
(a)that involves more than 1 component described in paragraph
(2)of such subsection, such project shall only be required to apply the procurement regulations applicable to the component where the greatest amount of Federal financial assistance will be expended.
