The Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration shall, as appropriate, coordinate with the Register of Copyrights to help, to the extent feasible, aircraft float manufacturers receive design protections provided under section 1301 of title 17, United States Code. In this section, the term aircraft float means a device suitable for use on an airplane that meets the standards set forth in the technical standard order related to Twin Seaplane Floats issued by the Federal Aviation Administration on July 31, 2018 (TSO-C27a), or any successor standard.
