Sec. 761. Study on air cargo operations in Puerto Rico

No later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall conduct a study on air cargo operations in Puerto Rico. In conducting the study required under subsection (a), the Comptroller General shall address the following: The economic impact of waivers authorized by the Secretary related to air cargo operations in Puerto Rico. Recommendations for security measures that may be necessary to support increased air cargo operations in Puerto Rico.
Potential need for additional staff to safely accommodate additional air cargo operations. Airport infrastructure improvements that may be needed in the 3 international airports located in Puerto Rico to support increased air cargo operations. Alternatives to increase private stakeholder engagement and use of the 3 international airports in Puerto Rico to attract increased air cargo operations. Possible national benefits of increasing air cargo operations in Puerto Rico. Not later than 12 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report on the results of the study described in subsection (a).
