Section 4022(i) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by redesignating paragraphs
(2)and
(3)as paragraphs
(3)and (4), respectively; by inserting after paragraph
(1)the following new paragraph: The authority of this subsection may be exercised to conduct prototype projects using— funds available for research, development, test and evaluation; appropriations for operation and maintenance; or appropriations for military construction. ; in paragraph (3), as so redesignated, by inserting using appropriations for military construction after carrying out prototype projects ; and in subparagraph (4)(A), as so redesignated, by inserting using appropriations for military construction after prototype projects .
