Section 712(c) of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( Public Law 115–232 ; 10 U.S.C. 1073c note) is amended— in paragraph (1)— in the paragraph heading, by striking and inserting HealthAgency ; and Health Agency by striking not more than two ; and in paragraph (2)(A), by striking military . Section 712(d) of such Act ( Public Law 115–232 ; 10 U.S.C. 1073c note) is amended— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking not more than two ; and in paragraph (3), by striking defense health regions and inserting Defense Health Agency regions .
Section 712(e)(1)(A) of such Act ( Public Law 115–232 ; 10 U.S.C. 1073c note) is amended by striking defense health region and inserting Defense Health Agency region . The amendments made by this section shall take effect on October 1, 2023.
