Sec. 635. Expansion of qualifying events for which a member of the uniformed services may be reimbursed for spousal relicensing or business costs due to the member's relocation

Section 453(g) of title 37, United States Code, is amended— by striking the subsection heading and inserting ; Reimbursement of qualifying spouse relicensing costs and business costs in paragraph (1)— in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking or qualified business costs and inserting and qualified business costs ; by amending subparagraph
(A)to read as follows: the member relocates to a new jurisdiction or geographic area as the result of— an assignment to a duty station; a reassignment, either as a result of a permanent change of station or permanent change of assignment, between duty stations; a transfer from a regular component of a uniformed service into the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve of a uniformed service, if the member is authorized a final move from the last duty station to the new jurisdiction or geographic area; or placement on the temporary disability retired list under chapter 61 of title 10; and ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking reassignment and inserting relocation ; in paragraph (2), by striking reassignment both places it appears and inserting relocation ; in paragraph (4)— in subparagraph (A), by striking movement described in and all that follows through the semicolon and inserting the member’s relocation described in paragraph (1); ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking reassignment and inserting relocation ; and in paragraph (5)— in subparagraph (A), by striking movement described in and all that follows through the semicolon and inserting the member’s relocation described in paragraph (1); ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking reassignment and inserting relocation .
