Section 92 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 ( 42 U.S.C. 2122 ) is amended— by redesignating subsection b. as subsection c.; by inserting after subsection a. the following new subsection: Whoever knowingly obstructs, resists, or interferes with a nuclear materials courier (as that term is defined in section 8331 of title 5) engaged in the transport of any atomic weapons, special nuclear material, nuclear weapons components, or Restricted Data shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both. ; in subsection c.
(as so redesignated) by striking prohibited by subsection a. and inserting prohibited by subsections a. and b. ; and adding at the end the following new subsection: The Attorney General shall have primary investigative authority for any violation of this section. .
