Sec. 1609. Plan to improve threat-sharing arrangements with commercial space operators

It is the sense of Congress that— commercial space providers that contract with the Department of Defense are vulnerable to physical and cyber threats; and United States Space Command has established the commercial integration cell to aid in the integration and protection of United States satellites and to build awareness of threats. The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisitions and Integration, in consultation with the Commander of United States Space Command, shall develop a plan to expand existing threat-sharing arrangements with commercial space operators that are under contract with the Department of Defense, as of the date of the enactment of this Act.
Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisitions, in coordination with the Commander of United States Space Command, shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the plan required under subsection (b).
