Sec. 1209. Report on partner country forces

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report that— specifies the number of partner countries whose military forces have participated in security cooperation training or equipping programs or received security assistance training or equipping authorized under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 ( 22 U.S.C. 2151 et seq. ) or chapter 16 of title 10, United States Code; and lists each instance, during the period beginning on January 1, 2000, and ending on the date of the submission of the report, in which a unit of a foreign military force trained or equipped under the authorities specified in paragraph
(1)subsequently engaged in a coup, insurrection, or action to overthrow a democratically-elected government, or attempted any such action. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives; and the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate.
