Chapter 55 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 1076f the following new section (and conforming the table of sections at the beginning of such chapter accordingly): The medical care to which individuals are entitled to under this chapter does not include the services described in subsection
(b)and the Secretary of Defense may not furnish any such service. The services described in this subsection are the following: Sex reassignment surgeries furnished for the purpose of the gender alteration of a transgender individual. Hormone treatments furnished for the purpose of the gender alteration of a transgender individual. .
