Sec. 506. Retired grade for the Director of Admissions of a Service Academy

Section 7342 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by inserting , or the Director of Admissions, before of the United States Military Academy ; and by striking as such a professor and inserting in such position . Section 8470a(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (2), by inserting and subject to paragraph (3), after subsection (b), ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: Upon retirement, an officer of the Navy or Marine Corps serving as a permanent professor, or the Director of Admissions, of the United States Naval Academy in the grade of captain or colonel, and whose service in such position has been long and distinguished, may, in the discretion of the President, be retired in the grade of rear admiral (lower half) or brigadier general. .
Section 9342 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by inserting , or the Director of Admissions, before of the United States Air Force Academy ; and by striking as such a professor and inserting in such position .
