Section 1261 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 ( 10 U.S.C. 311 note) is amended— in subsection (b), by inserting or other appropriate ministries with a security mission after civilian leaders in foreign partner ministries of defense each place it appears; and in subsection (c), by inserting or civilian leaders from other appropriate ministries with a security mission after civilian defense leaders from foreign partner ministries of defense .
