Section 2861 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 ( Public Law 117–81 ; 10 U.S.C. 2802 note) is amended— in subsection (b)(1), by striking at least and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting , under the pilot program, at least— one military construction project for mass timber; and one military construction project for low carbon concrete. ; in subsection (d), by striking September 30, 2024 and inserting September 30, 2025 ; by redesignating subsections
(e)and
(f)as subsections
(f)and (g), respectively; by inserting after subsection
(d)the following new subsection: Any construction pursuant to a military construction project carried out under the pilot program must commence by not later than January 1, 2025. ; and in subsection (f)(1) (as so redesignated), by striking December 31, 2024 and inserting December 31, 2025 .
