Sec. 2802. Modification to authority for unspecified minor construction

Section 2805(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (2), by inserting or a demolition project after is a military construction project ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: Notwithstanding the requirements of this section, the Secretary concerned may use amounts authorized pursuant to another law or regulation to carry out a demolition project described in paragraph (2). . Section 2805 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a)(2), by striking the dollar figure and inserting $9,000,000 ; in subsection (b)(2), by striking the dollar figure and inserting $4,000,000 ; in subsection (c), by striking the dollar figure and inserting $4,000,000 ; and in subsection (d)— in paragraph (1)— in subparagraph (A), by striking the dollar figure and inserting $9,000,000 ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking the dollar figure and inserting $9,000,000 ; and in paragraph (2), by striking the dollar figure and inserting $9,000,000 .
Section 2805(f) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking the dollar figure and inserting $14,000,000 ; and by striking paragraph (3). No later than 270 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the impacts of inflation over time on the utility of the authority to carry out unspecified minor military construction projects under section 2805 of title 10, United States Code.
Section 2801 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 ( Public Law 117–263 ; 136 Stat. 2992; 10 U.S.C. 2805 note) is repealed.
