Section 218 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 ( Public Law 117–263 ; 136 Stat. 2476) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (1), by striking The Commander of Naval Air Systems Command and the Director of Air Warfare shall jointly serve as the resource sponsors and inserting The Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security, acting through the Director of the Concepts, Development, and Management Office of the Air Force, shall serve as the resource sponsor ; and in paragraph (2), by striking The resource sponsors of the Program shall be responsible and inserting The resource sponsor of the Program, in consultation with the Commander of Naval Air Systems Command, shall be responsible ; in subsection (b), by striking Only the Secretary of the Navy, the Under Secretary of the Navy, and the Commander of Naval Air Systems Command may and inserting Only the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security and the Director of the Concepts, Development, and Management Office of the Air Force, in consultation with the Commander of Naval Air Systems Command, may ; and in subsection (d)(3), by striking exercised by the Commander of Naval Air Systems Command, the Secretary of the Navy, or the Under Secretary of the Navy and inserting exercised by the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security, the Director of the Concepts, Development, and Management Office of the Air Force, or the Commander of Naval Air Systems Command .
