The Comptroller General of the United States shall carry out a study to determine the extent to which the Department of Defense has evaluated feasability and advisability of equipping all tactical vehicles of the Armed Forces with black box data recorders. The Comptroller General shall— not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall provide to the congressional defense committees a briefing on the preliminary findings of the study conducted under subsection (a); and submit to the congressional defense committees a final report on such study.
