Section 1062(b) of the William M.
(Mac)Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 ( Public Law 116–283 ; 10 U.S.C. 2241 note) is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph: The authority to issue a waiver under paragraph
(1)shall terminate on October 1, 2026, and any waiver issued under such paragraph shall not apply on or after such date. .
