Section 4864(a)(3) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by— striking large medium-speed diesel engines. and inserting the following components: ; and adding at the end the following new subparagraphs: Large medium-speed diesel engines. Propulsion system components (including reduction gears and propellers). Components (including alternators, diesel engines, and steam turbines) used to generate electricity to power the systems of a vessel (excluding propulsion systems). .
