Sec. 5205. Annual review of status of implementation plan for digital engineering career tracks

Not less frequently than once each year until December 31, 2029, the Secretary of Defense shall— conduct an internal review of the status of the implementation of the plan submitted pursuant to section 230(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 ( Public Law 116–92 ; 10 U.S.C. note prec. 501); and submit to the congressional defense committees— a summary of the status described in paragraph (1); a report on the findings of the Secretary with respect to the most recent review conducted pursuant to such paragraph; and a plan for how the Department of Defense will plan for digital engineering personnel needs in the coming years.
The review conducted pursuant to subsection (a)(1) shall include consideration of the rapid rate of technological change in data science and machine learning.
