Section 208(b)(1)(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1158(b)(1)(A) ) is amended by inserting after section 101(a)(42)(A) the following: (in accordance with the rules set forth in this section), and is eligible to apply for asylum under subsection
(a). Section 208(a)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1158(a)(1) ) is amended— by striking or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), ; and by inserting after United States the following: and has arrived in the United States at a port of entry (including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), .
