Subsection
(e)of section 6 of the Farmer-to-Consumer Direct Marketing Act of 1976 ( 7 U.S.C. 3005 ) is amended to read as follows: In providing grants under the Program, priority shall be given to applications that include— projects that will benefit underserved communities, including communities that are located in areas of concentrated poverty with limited access to fresh locally or regionally grown food; and with respect to beginning farmers and ranchers, socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers, and veteran farmers, projects in which such farmers and ranchers are participants. .
