The Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1101 et seq. ) is amended— in section 212 ( 8 U.S.C. 1182 )— in subsection (a)(6)(C)— in clause (ii)— by inserting and willfully after falsely each place such term appears; and in subclause (I), by striking or any other Federal or State law ; and by striking clause (iii); and in subsection (i), by amending paragraph
(1)to read as follows: The Attorney General or the Secretary of Homeland Security may, in the discretion of the Attorney General or the Secretary, waive the application of subsection (a)(6)(C)(ii) with respect to an immigrant who is the parent, spouse, son, or daughter of a United States citizen or of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or with respect to an alien granted classification under clause
(iii)or
(iv)of section 204(a)(1)(A), if the Attorney General or the Secretary determines that the admission to the United States of such alien would not be contrary to the national welfare, safety, or security of the United States. ; and in section 237(a)(3)(D) ( 8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(3)(D) ), by inserting and willfully after falsely each place such term appears.
