Section 604(a) of the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 ( 16 U.S.C. 6591c(a) ) is amended— by striking paragraph
(2)and inserting the following: The term Director means the Director of the Bureau of Land Management with respect to Bureau of Land Management land and the Director of the National Park Service with respect to land within Kings Canyon National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Yosemite National Park. ; and by adding at the end the following: The term public lands means— Bureau of Land Management land; and land within Kings Canyon National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Yosemite National Park. . Section 604(c) of the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 ( 16 U.S.C. 6591c(c) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: Promoting the health and resiliency of giant sequoias. .
