The remaining unobligated balances, as of September 30, 2023, from amounts made available to the Department of Transportation under the heading Federal Transit Administration—Capital Investment Grants in division H of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 ( Public Law 116–94 ) are hereby rescinded, and an amount of additional new budget authority equivalent to the amount rescinded is hereby appropriated on September 30, 2023, for an additional amount for fiscal year 2023, to remain available until September 30, 2024, and shall be available for any of the same purposes and under the same authorities for which such amounts were originally provided.
