The table in subsection (a)(1) of section 523 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the items relating to the Marine Corps new items relating to the total number of commissioned officers (excluding officers in categories specified in subsection
(b)of such section) serving on active duty in the Space Force in the grades of major, lieutenant colonel, and colonel, respectively, as follows: 3,900 1,016 782 234 4,300 1,135 873 262 5,000 1,259 845 315 7,000 1,659 1,045 415 10,000 2,259 1,345 565 .
