Section 1021 of the Ronald W. Reagan National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2005 ( Public Law 108–375 ; 118 Stat. 2042), as most recently amended by section 1007 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 ( Public Law 117–81 ; 135 Stat. 1889), is further amended— in subsection (a)(1), by striking 2023 and inserting 2024 ; in subsection (c), in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking 2023 and inserting 2024 ; and by adding at the end the following:
During each of fiscal years 2023 and 2024, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report that includes the following: An assessment of the threat to Colombia from narcotics trafficking and activities by organizations designated as foreign terrorist organizations under section 219(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1189(a) ). A description of the plan of the Government of Colombia for the unified campaign described in subsection (a). A description of the activities supported using the authority provided by subsection (a).
An assessment of the effectiveness of the activities described in paragraph
(3)in addressing the threat described in paragraph (1). .
